Venice, 9–10 October 2026: the international advanced programme on arbitration at Palazzo Pisani-Revedin

Mastering International Arbitration: Theory, Practice, and Strategy returns to Venice: two days of advanced training with arbitrators, lawyers and academics from six countries. CCIAM is among the partners of the initiative.

On 9 and 10 October 2026, Palazzo Pisani-Revedin, a short walk from Rialto, hosts the autumn session of Mastering International Arbitration: Theory, Practice, and Strategy, an advanced training programme on international arbitration. It is promoted by Resolve Academy, the Department of Legal Studies of the University of Bologna and the University's Summer School on Transnational Litigation, based in Ravenna. The Centre for Cooperation and Development between Italy and Armenia (CCIAM) supports the initiative as a partner.

The programme is designed for dispute resolution professionals, in-house counsel, legal advisers and academics who wish to deepen their expertise and move towards serving as arbitrators. It combines theoretical instruction with a strong practical focus, through simulations, exercises and group work. The approach is comparative and draws on the main institutional frameworks, including the ICC, LCIA and UNCITRAL rules.

Sessions are led by practitioners from Italy, Armenia, France, Sweden, Cyprus and Lebanon, including:

• Prof. Michele Angelo Lupoi, Full Professor of Civil Procedure at the Department of Legal Studies of the University of Bologna and Director of the Ravenna Summer School;
• Monique Sasson, independent arbitrator and founding partner of DeliSasson;
• Natalia Petrik, Counsel at Westerberg & Partners in Stockholm and former Deputy Secretary General of the SCC Arbitration Institute;
• Aline Tanielian, arbitrator, lecturer at Université Saint-Joseph in Beirut and ArbitralWomen Country Representative for Lebanon;
• Agis Georgiades, Partner at Christos Georgiades & Associates (Cyprus);
• the Chair of the Arbitration and ADR Commission of ICC Armenia.

An international journey

The Venice edition builds on an established track record: the programme has been held in Yerevan in winter 2025, in Venice in autumn 2025, in Ravenna in winter 2026 and in Limassol in spring 2026, each time bringing together practitioners and participants from a range of universities.

For CCIAM, the partnership is part of its commitment to strengthening ties between Italy and Armenia in the legal and institutional sphere as well. A shared understanding of dispute resolution tools is essential to solid, lasting economic relations between companies of the two countries.
