On 7 September 2026 Venice was the meeting point between Armenia and the Italian economic system: a morning of presentations, networking and business meetings that brought together 48 companies, both in person in Marghera and online.
The Center for Cooperation and Development between Italy and Armenia (CCIAM) presents Discover Armenia: Country Presentation and Business Opportunities, an event designed to introduce Italian companies to the potential of a fast-growing emerging market.
Armenia is a growing market and a strategic gateway between Europe, the Middle East and Asia, with a young and dynamic business environment. For Italian companies it represents a concrete opportunity for export and partnerships with local firms. The morning will present collaboration possibilities in key sectors:
A bridge between Europe and the Caucasus: Armenia is today one of the most promising gateways to Eurasian markets.
The morning combines presentations on the Armenian market and on the opportunities for Italian companies with a moment of direct dialogue: the B2B matchmaking session between Italian and Armenian companies, the heart of the day.
Companies interested in meeting Armenian partners can express their interest by filling in the B2B profile: by indicating sector, goals and the type of counterpart sought, the CCIAM secretariat will arrange targeted meetings during the event.

Discover Armenia is the economic forum on Italy-Armenia relations held on 7 September 2026 at the Venice Rovigo Chamber of Commerce in Marghera, organised by CCIAM. It brought together 48 companies, both in person and online, for country presentations and B2B meetings.
The forum was organised by CCIAM (Center for Cooperation and Development between Italy and Armenia) under the patronage of the Venice Rovigo Chamber of Commerce.
Venice and Armenia share a bond of over five centuries. In 1512 the first printed book in Armenian was produced in Venice, and since 1717 the Island of San Lazzaro degli Armeni has hosted the Mekhitarist Congregation.
Institutional greetings came from Matteo Senno (President of the Venice City Council), Claudio Scarpa (Venice Rovigo Chamber of Commerce) and Ferdinando Pelazzo (President of CCIAM), joined by Archbishop Boghos Levon Zekiyan. Speakers included Gohar Ghumashyan, Lilit Gharajyan, Anna Hayroyan, Stefano Ponza, Lara De Vincenz (Finest S.p.A.) and Armine Melikyan (Ardshinbank).
