The leaders guiding CCIAM in its mission to promote economic and cultural cooperation between Italy and Armenia.
Ferdinando Pelazzo has built a decades-long career in international finance and economic relations, with a particular focus on the Eurasian area. For over fourteen years he headed the Moscow Representative Office of UBI Banca (2007–2021), strengthening the bank's presence on the Russian market and building relationships with local banking and business communities.
In 2024 he was awarded the Maestro del Lavoro honour by the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, in recognition of his contribution to international economic relations and his commitment to training and social initiatives.
Stefano Maggi is Secretary General of the Center for Cooperation and Development between Italy and Armenia (CCIAM). He is a professional with extensive experience in managing chamber organisations and developing international economic relations.
In his role he coordinates institutional activities, services to member companies, and networking and business matching initiatives. He personally manages relations with Italian and international institutions, trade associations and relevant chamber networks.
He actively contributes to the strategic planning of CCIAM initiatives, with the goal of creating concrete opportunities for companies, professionals and institutions operating between the two countries.
As set out in the Statute (Art. 11), CCIAM has the following governance bodies, each with defined functions and responsibilities.
The supreme body of the Association, composed of all Members in good standing. It sets the strategic direction, approves the budget and elects the President and the Board of Directors.
Composed of 2 to 19 members elected from among the Members, with a 3-year term. It holds broad powers of ordinary and extraordinary administration for the pursuit of the Association's purposes.
The President is elected by the Assembly for a three-year term (max 2 consecutive). He/she holds legal representation and chairs the Assembly and the Board of Directors, assisted by at least 4 Vice Presidents.
Elected on the proposal of the Board of Directors. The position is held for life. The Honorary President is an ex officio member of the Board of Directors.
The Secretary is appointed from among the Members for minutes and executive secretariat functions. The Treasurer is appointed by the Board of Directors for the financial management of the Association.
Composed of 3 standing members with a 3-year term. It oversees the accounting and financial management of the Association. Mandatory if enrolled in the Chamber Register.
